چکیده

We consider constraints on the structure formation model based on non-gaussian fluctuations generated during inflation, which have χ 2 m distributions. Using three data sets, the abundance of the clusters at z = 0, at moderate z and the correlation length, we show constraints on the non-gaussianity and the amplitude of fluctuations and the density parameter can be obtained. We obtain upper bound of Ω 0 and lower bound of the non-gaussianity and the amplitude of the fluctuations. Using the abundance of clusters at z ∼ 0.6, for the spectrum parameterized by CDM shape parameter Γ = 0.23, we obtain upper bound of the density parameter Ω 0 ∼ 0.5 and lower bound of the amplitude σ 8 ∼ 0.7 and of the non-gaussianity T ∼ 2 (m ∼ 200) of fluctuations, where T represents the non-gaussianity of fluctuations (T = 1 for gaussian).

Non-Nucleosynthetic Constraints on the Baryon Density and Other Cosmological Parameters

Because the baryon-to-photon ratio η10 is in some doubt, we drop nucleosynthetic constraints on η10 and fit the three cosmological parameters (h,ΩM, η10) to four observational constraints: Hubble parameter ho = 0.70± 0.15, age of the universe to = 14 +7 −2 Gyr, cluster gas fraction fo ≡ fGh 3/2 = 0.060 ± 0.006, and effective shape parameter Γo = 0.255 ± 0.017. Errors quoted are 1σ, and we assum...

Characterizing the dynamic properties of the solar turbulence with 3 - D simulations : Consequences in terms of p - mode excitation

Characterizing the dynamic properties of the solar turbulence with 3-D simulations: Consequences in terms of p-mode excitation. Abstract. A 3D simulation of the upper part of the solar convective zone is used to derive constraints about the averaged and dynamic properties of solar turbulent convection. Theses constraints are then used to compute the acoustic energy supply rate P injected into t...

Non-bbn Constraints on the Key Cosmological Parameters

Since the baryon-to-photon ratio η10 is in some doubt at present, we ignore the constraints on η10 from big bang nucleosynthesis (BBN) and fit the three key cosmological parameters (h,ΩM, η10) to four other observational constraints: Hubble parameter (ho), age of the universe (to), cluster gas (baryon) fraction (fo ≡ fGh ), and effective shape parameter (Γo). We consider open and flat CDM model...

Constraints on Primordial Non-Gaussianity from a Needlet Analysis of the WMAP-5 Data

We look for a non-Gaussian signal in the WMAP 5-year temperature anisotropy maps by performing a needlet-based data analysis. We use the foreground-reduced maps obtained by the WMAP team through the optimal combination of the W, V and Q channels, and perform realistic non-Gaussian simulations in order to constrain the non-linear coupling parameter fNL. We apply a third-order estimator of the ne...

A Simultaneous Constraint on the Amplitude and Gaussianity of Mass Fluctuations in the Universe

We consider constraints on the amplitude of mass fluctuations in the universe, σ8, derived from two simple observations: the present number density of clusters and the amplitude of their correlation function. Allowing for the possibility that the primordial fluctuations are non-gaussian introduces a degeneracy in the value of σ8 preferred by each of these constraints. However, when the constrai...
